POP (Plaster of Paris) does not dissolve in water — it pollutes rivers and lakes. Clay idols dissolve fully during visarjan. An idol made by your hands, for your puja, and kind to the environment.
Ganesh Chaturthi is 14 September. Clay takes 10 days to dry — that is why the workshop is on 30 August. Finish it, paint it, and it will be ready for sthapana.
